What this site counts
Two things, both anonymous. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views by path, and Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast a page loaded for you. Both are provided by the platform this site is deployed on, both are cookieless, and neither stores anything that identifies you. They run on the live site and not on a local one.
PostHog, and why it is off
The code for a second counter is here, behind a key that is not set. With no key the library is never downloaded, no request is made, no cookie is written and nothing is sent. If it is switched on, it is switched on in the shape it is already configured in: session recording off, automatic click capture off, no profile for an anonymous visitor, Do Not Track respected, and query strings stripped from every URL before it leaves the page. This notice changes on the day that happens.
What the door does with your words
The field on the front page reads your sentence in your own browser, with wordlists and patterns. Nothing is sent while you type, and no model reads it: there is no account for the work to belong to until you sign in. A file you bring in is the same story. No request is made and no destination exists, so the file never leaves the tab. What it becomes is a chip on the screen, and the chip is the whole of it.
What this site does not do
- No accounts, no sign-up and no mailing list on this website.
- No advertising pixels, no third-party trackers and no session replay.
- No cookie banner, because there is nothing here to consent to.
- Nothing you type at the door is stored, sent, sold or shared.
Who serves the pages
The site is hosted by Vercel and its domain runs through Cloudflare. Like any host, they see the requests they serve in order to serve them. The pages themselves are static files, so there is no database behind this website and nothing on it writes one.

Questions about any of this go through the contact page, which says plainly what exists to reach us with today. When this notice changes, the version number at the top of it changes too, so you can tell which one you read.
