PandaDoc is a document workflow: create, send, track and proposals and contracts from templates. It is worth it for a UK freelancer who already has the paper and needs branded sending. We sit in a different column: Lex drafts, both sides redline one link, then you e-sign, with public GBP prices. Figures checked November 2026 on pandadoc.com.

Is PandaDoc worth it for UK freelancers?

Yes, if you already have the document and need to send, track and e-sign it — Free covers five documents a month. No, if you still have to write the contract or argue the clauses with the client. PandaDoc’s public pages describe a sender-led document workflow. We draft the words, both sides redline one link, then you sign.

PandaDoc’s own product overview is about creating, sending, tracking and e-signing sales documents from templates. That is a strong, widely used job. It is not the same job as writing a freelancer agreement with the client on one paper.

If a client already insists on PandaDoc, send the finished file there. If they are still arguing scope, do that on one shared link first.

How much does PandaDoc cost?

PandaDoc publishes USD prices. Free is $0 with five documents a month. Starter is $19 per user per month billed annually, or $35 billed monthly. Business is $49 per user per month billed annually, or $65 billed monthly. Enterprise is sales-quoted. We did not find a GBP grid on pandadoc.com. Our prices are GBP from £0.

Figures checked 3 November 2026. Starter and monthly figures are from PandaDoc’s pricing article on pandadoc.com (21 August 2026). Business $49 per seat per month is listed on PandaDoc’s pricing page. Free is five documents a month on that same pricing page. Prices exclude applicable taxes, as PandaDoc states.

Our pricing is Free £0 (3 active contracts), Plus £15/month, Pro £29/month, Team £119/month for 5 seats, Enterprise from £750. The other side never pays.

What does PandaDoc do — and what does it not do?

PandaDoc creates, sends, tracks and e-signs sales documents from templates, with a drag-and-drop editor. Starter adds unlimited documents and e-signatures. Business adds quotes, CRM, branding, deal rooms and approval workflows. That is a sender-led workflow. Lex drafts, both sides redline one link, then you e-sign. It does not put Accept, Counter and Decline on one shared paper.

That split is the whole page. PandaDoc is built for the last mile of a sales document. We are the miles before it: Lex drafts in Plain English beside the legal wording; you and the client Accept, Counter or Decline; versions are kept; then both of you e-sign one frozen version. See PandaDoc alternative.

Can the other side negotiate in PandaDoc?

PandaDoc describes a Collaborator role for people outside the organisation who do not have a seat: they can view and comment on shared documents. That is not both parties drafting clauses on one paper. If the markup still happens in email or Word before you send the PandaDoc file, the missing piece is negotiation, not the signature.

We put the negotiation on the same link as the signature. The other side never pays and never needs an account. When the words are agreed, signing is the last step — which is also the step PandaDoc already does well.

Which PandaDoc plan should a freelancer buy?

Free, if five documents a month and two recipients per document are enough. Starter, if you need unlimited documents and e-signatures at $19 per user per month billed annually. Business, if you need quotes, CRM, branding or approval workflows at $49. Skip Enterprise unless you want a custom package. Confirm the live figure on PandaDoc’s site.

PandaDoc’s pricing article (21 August 2026) says Free includes five reusable templates, two recipients per document, unlimited users and unlimited storage. Starter still carries the five-template limit and lacks integration support. Business is the plan PandaDoc describes for sales proposals and integrated agreement workflows.

If the job is agreeing the words of a freelance contract, none of those plans is the closer fit. Start from a freelancer agreement.

Where does Contracts.io fit next to PandaDoc?

Before the send. We draft and negotiate; PandaDoc sends a document you already have. A UK freelancer still emailing v4_final.docx needs the first job more than a heavier document-workflow plan. If the PDF is done, Free or Starter is enough. If the words are not agreed, start on one share link, then e-sign.

Start from a freelancer agreement or describe the deal in a sentence. Share the link. When you both agree, you sign on that frozen version. See best contract software for UK freelancers. If a UK client later will not pay, you chase the signed invoice — client won't pay.

When to choose which

PandaDoc Free

  • You send a handful of finished documents and five a month is enough.
  • Two recipients per document and five templates cover the job.
  • You want legally binding e-signatures at $0, as PandaDoc publishes.

PandaDoc Starter

  • You need unlimited documents and e-signatures.
  • $19 per user per month billed annually is the figure PandaDoc publishes for Starter.
  • You are buying document creation and sending, not a two-sided drafter.

Contracts.io

  • The document does not exist yet, or the client will negotiate it.
  • You want Lex to draft from one sentence and both sides to redline one link.
  • Signing should happen after the words are agreed, on one frozen version.

The legal wording governs. See pricing and features.
