Why solicitors join

Your own page and link

contracts.io/lawyers/you, with your SRA number, specialities, prices and turnaround. Put it in your bio, posts and email signature.

Your followers come to you first

Anyone who opens your link and drafts or uploads a contract in the next 30 days sees “Review with you” before anyone else.

Keep 88% of every review you bring

Fixed, published prices from £149. Paid to your own Stripe account when you deliver. No subscription, no listing fee.

Work from us too

Reviews from people who didn’t come through anyone go to partners in the order they joined. You keep 75–85%, more for faster lanes.

Arrives pre-briefed

The clauses are already split, Lex has flagged what changed, and the client has written what they care about. A Quick check takes under an hour.

Your redlines go straight in

Deliver in the room: findings per clause, a redline the client stages in one tap, and seven days of follow-up chat.

How it works

  1. Apply in 2 minutes

Sign in with Google, add your SRA number, firm, specialities and PII certificate. We check the SRA register, usually within a working day.

  2. Share your link

We give you post templates, short video scripts and carousel copy. Talk about the clauses you see people get wrong.

  3. Review and get paid

Accept, review in the room, deliver. Your share lands in your Stripe account. Your dashboard shows clicks, drafts, reviews and £ earned.

The prices your clients see

Fixed and published, so nobody waits for a quote. Faster lanes pay you a bigger share. Late? The speed fee goes back to the client and you’re paid the standard share.

Post templates

“Three clauses I check on every freelance contract”, “What a kill fee is and why you want one”: 12 posts you edit to sound like you, each with your link.

30-second clip scripts

Screen-record a contract, point at one clause, say what you’d change. Six scripts with hooks that work on TikTok, Reels and LinkedIn.

Carousel copy

Five-slide carousels for Instagram and LinkedIn: payment terms, IP ownership, liability caps, notice periods, non-competes.

What we check, and what we never promise

  • Your SRA number against the Solicitors Register, before you go live and every year.
  • A current PII certificate (we pause listings when it lapses).
  • Stripe checks your identity for payouts. We never hold client money.
  • No promised volume, rankings or income.
  • No “best solicitor” or “vetted by us” badges: “SRA-verified” means we checked the register.
  • No fee from you, ever. Our fee comes out of the booking and the client sees it.

Frequently asked questions

Is this allowed under the SRA rules?

Yes, with the safeguards built in. You review under your own engagement terms and regulation. Every booking shows the client the price and our platform fee in pounds before they pay (Code for Solicitors 5.1). We never take a share of personal injury work, and you advertise your own services: no unsolicited approaches to the public (8.9).

Who is the client’s solicitor?

You are. Contracts.io is software and a room. We are not a law firm, we don’t give advice, and we never tell a client which solicitor is best. Your engagement letter is shown before they pay.

What do I need?

A current practising certificate, an SRA number, professional indemnity cover (your firm’s, or your own if you’re a freelance solicitor) and a Stripe account for payouts. Freelance solicitors working without PII top-up cover can’t join yet.

What does it cost?

Nothing. No subscription and no listing fee. Contracts.io keeps 12% of reviews from your link and 15–25% of reviews we send you, shown on every booking.

What if I can’t take a job?

Pass on it in one tap (busy, conflict, out of scope). It goes to the next partner. Two late deliveries in 30 days pause your fast lanes, nothing more.

Do you promise a number of reviews?

No. We don’t promise work, rankings or income. Your link earns when your audience uses it; jobs we send depend on demand in your speciality.

Your audience already has contracts.

Give them somewhere to send them. Your page is live the day we check your SRA record.
